DESCRIPTION:For the purposes of this course\, abuse and molestation refers to sexual abuse as well as physical and mental abuse.  Blackmail\, bullying\, cyber bullying\, elder care abuse\, extortion\, grooming of victims\, harassment\, hostile work environment\, human trafficking\, mental anguish\, quid pro quo\, rape\, sextortion\, and stalking will be discussed from both a criminal and civil legal aspect with a focus on civil litigation and liability.  All of the above acts will be collectively referred to as "abuse" herein after and throughout this document unless specifically noted otherwise.\n\n\n\nRisk management strategies to prevent and mitigate acts of abuse will be discussed including insurance risk transfer of liability as well as non-insurance risk mitigation or avoidance techniques.  Background checks and pre-employment screenings\, best practices for confidential reporting\, crisis response action plans\, employee/staff/student/volunteer handbook content\, and post incident evaluations of operational controls will be discussed for non-insurance risk controls while a review of various commercial and personal lines coverage forms\, pertinent statutes and case law will be used to discuss risk transfer via an insurance policy.  \n\n\n\nConcentration P&C.
