This course provides the licensed insurance agency personnel with an overview of the types of additional insured endorsements that can be added to a commercial property & casualty insurance program. The role of the licensee in the risk management process as an intermediary between the policyholder, the insurance carrier and third parties will be discussed with a focus on the duties the licensee owes to each party. Other coverage forms that are commonly requested in conjunction with additional insured endorsements, the use of certificates of insurance to provide third parties with insurance coverage information, and reviewing contractual requirements will be discussed from the perspective of the licensee’s role in protecting the policyholder.
