InsurTech, Blockchain and the Sharing Economy-VIRTUAL CLASS
This course will discuss and review current trends in InsurTech, Blockchain, and the Sharing economy.  Discuss what coverages the major InsurTech players are offering and how their ?disruption? is competing with the traditional agency model.

  1. Outline the basic framework of Blockchain, the Internet of Things, and Cryptocurrency, and what they are used for.  Explanation of why this is important to the insurance industry.
  2. Describe potential future uses of Blockchain and how it may impact the insurance transactions.
  3. Point out existing and emerging ?sharing economy? exposures and exposure discussions we need to have with our policyholders as well as the insurers we represent.
