Berkshire Hathaway Inc. Chairman Warren Buffett once said, ?It takes 20 years to build a reputation, and five minutes to ruin it.? This seminar will explore the many reputational exposures a business of any size may face. Reputational damage can be the result of a breach of trust, leader misconduct, customer data compromise, product recall, unfair discrimination, lack of inclusion, libel, slander - as well as a number of other factors - and can significantly damage a company's brand. Given the ongoing proliferation of social media, reputations can be harmed more quickly than ever. How can a business mitigate these exposures and can they be insured? Why is this exposure greater today than ever, and what are the impacts to a business? Are they quantifiable? Class participants will come away with an understanding of the many reputational risks businesses currently face, and what may be on the horizon.
