In this presentation we will review catastrophic losses including those caused by flood, convective storms, earthquake, hurricanes, and wildfires. This is a comprehensive presentation on available insurance coverages, limitations, deductibles, exclusions and loss prevention principles that can be applied to reduce total cost of loss for each catastrophic loss. A discussion will also focus on how the public (our insureds) view these losses and how we can explain, communicate and educate our clients about these issues before a loss occurs. We will include a review of how insurance carriers underwrite these exposures including modeling of exposures and how new insurance products have been developed to help insure potential losses for catastrophic losses.
This course is approved for 3 hours of general CE credit in Ohio & Kentucky
